About David Bourassa

Augeo Coaching, an executive coaching practice founded by David Bourassa, combines David’s academic training with more than 25 years of pragmatic business and leadership experience. David leverages his training and business experience to help leaders improve on-the-job performance, boost confidence, and become more effective agents of change. He is passionate about working with individuals and their organizations to expand and enrich the practice of leadership.

Work Experience
Prior to becoming an executive coach, David spent 27 years in a variety of senior Human Resources and senior Business Operations roles. As a senior Human Resources professional, he supported various multi-site businesses ranging in size from 25 to 1,500 staff members.

In the most recent phase of his corporate tenure, he was a senior executive running transfer agent and custody operations for a major financial services firm.

David was responsible for an organization with 150 staff members, a compensation budget of more than $20 million and sponsorship of a multi-year $36 million business-driven IT project. During this time, he was a champion for change management, global expansion, and increasing operational efficiency.

David’s corporate experiences bring valuable perspective to his coaching. His broad Human Resources responsibilities give him a deep understanding of the organization as a key stakeholder in executive coaching engagements.

As the executive responsible for the strategic direction and performance of large operations teams, David has sat in the same seat and experienced the same challenges as his coaching clients.

Among the attributes contributing to his success was his ability to assemble and lead high-performing teams, provide guidance and counsel to leaders as a trusted confidant, and identify and nurture leadership potential.

David’s diverse, hands-on coaching experience includes working with business leaders in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors for both large and small organizations across multiple industries. He is certified to administer and interpret the following assessment instruments:

Education
David earned an M.S. degree in Industrial Relations from Rutgers University in New Jersey and a B.S. in Psychology from Keene State College in New Hampshire. His executive coaching academic training is through the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology’s Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching program.

Personal
David is married with three children: a 17-year-old son and 10-year-old girl/boy twins. He was born and raised in New Hampshire and has lived and worked in eastern Massachusetts for the past 29 years. In his free time, he enjoys reading, woodworking, hiking and exercising.
